Land Stewardship
Land Stewardship
Anything worth owning is worth
caring for. Respect for the land
comes first.
Before developing Best Case Farm, we committed to returning the land to its honored past. So we chose native plants for landscaping, including warm season grasses, put in local crops and restored two Civil War-era cemeteries on the property. Working with Kentucky’s Conservation Service and Department of Forestry, we’re managing our forest, and removing trees not beneficial to wildlife.
Land Stewardship
Restoring the natural order of things. Additionally, we’re working closely with the Quality Deer Management Association, of Bogart, Georgia, to build a balanced herd of whitetails. To maintain a healthy population, we plant special feed plots, let the bucks “go so they can grow,” and harvest females as needed to produce a sustainable number ideal for our habitat.
Wedding Venue
The larger venue is located on the banks of the Licking River. Huge grassy area with a swing, firepit and plenty of room for outdoor games. Stone patio framed with raised flowerbeds and a wrought iron arch for the ceremony. Smaller gatherings have a choice of a river side or garden side venue. Lodging for up to sixteen people in our lake side cottages or farm house. ($150.00 per night +tax) Decor rental for your event. Text 513-484-8346 for more info.
